meet the goat that started our herd
Taz #01
Taz came to us as an 8 month old former bottle baby. he was the life of the party and wanted to be involved in everything that we did. Taz was a dappled boer goat and is a big reason why we wanted to start the ranch. Taz's sweet life was sadly cut short due to a farm related accident, but his spirit lives on in our herd.
Our odd animal
Chico is the most interesting
animal we have on the ranch.
we acquired our llama while
casey was working at Nash
County sheriff’s office. Chico
decided to escape his pasture
and try to make friends, but his
neighbors were unsure of him.
the deputy that respond asked
us if we would be willing to take
him As the owner was ready
to part with him. making Chico a
Duplin county llama.
Our Story
Founded in 2023 by Ethan and Casey Lanier, Polley Creek Ranch started as a dream and quickly became a reality. Both of us coming from agriculture related raising knew that growing and working with livestock was our combined passion. Ethan has an extensive background in all things livestock, from riding bulls and roping, to raising cattle and goats. Casey participated in 4-H and was a proud member of her FFA chapter, with show experience under her belt and now learning the rodeo side. We are proud to bring you a unique alternative to a commercial industry.
